Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are stronger than ever five years after making their relationship public. With rumors of the two musicians either getting engaged or married swirling around, their latest real estate move would surely add fuel to the fire even more.
First Home
After splitting time going back and forth between their individual residences, the celebrity couple has finally decided to buy their first home together. This latest development comes during a time when the No Doubt vocalist, together with her three sons, has been passing the coronavirus lockdown with the country singer in his ranch in Oklahoma.
Stefani and Shelton’s new abode is a 13,000-square-foot home in the San Fernando Valley. Reports say that the couple paid $13.2 million for the estate, which was listed for $14 million.
The property comes with a long list of amenities from a large outdoor pool to a home movie theater. It seems to be specifically built for enjoying the warm California weather as evident in the home’s outdoor kitchen and wet bar.
Goodbye to the Old
The purchase of the San Fernando Valley home happened less than a year after Stefani parted with the Beverly Hills mansion she called home with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
Dubbed as The Summit, the hilltop estate was sold at a huge loss. It was originally listed for $35 million in 2017 but only fetched $21.65 million during its sale.
In the end, the 50-year-old ‘Hollaback Girl’ singer suffered a $10 million loss in the value of the home. Similarly, Shelton has said goodbye to his Tennessee marital home with ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
Family Time
She doesn’t seem to mind the setback as much these days. Stefani keeps busy as she spends time with her longtime boyfriend and her children.
A couple of her other family members are reportedly also with the brood in Shelton’s ranch. As the 43-year-old singer shares in an interview, he and Stefani were caught by the lockdown during preparations for a tour.
After canceling the event, they headed to the ranch and haven’t left it since. While the couple doesn’t seem to be in a rush to move into their first official home together, they are spending time together in domestic bliss with Stefani baking and Shelton doing some gardening and fence building.
