There is no shortage of books talking about the British royal family. A lot of them often claim to have exclusive information detailing the private lives of the monarchy’s most famous members.

Tom Quinn’s upcoming book, ‘Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir From Queen Mary to Meghan Markle’ is one of those that promise to share insider stories about the royal family.

Behind Closed Doors

The two royal couples also used to share offices

By interviewing people who used to work at Kensington Palace, which has been one of the royal family’s official residences since the 17th century. Its current residents include the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Not too long ago, Kensington Palace was also where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Quinn’s sources had a lot to say about the couple.

They particularly focused on stories about how the former actress didn’t get along with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton for a variety of reasons. What more, they revealed the real reason behind the splitting of the households of the two royal couples, which also seemed to mark the break up of what the press has dubbed as the ‘Fab Four’.

Meghan’s Alleged Jealousy

Middleton was reportedly welcoming towards her sister-in-law, according to Quinn’s sources

While royal insiders claim that Middleton is ‘one of the nicest royals’, they don’t seem to have the same positive outlook on Markle. Sources said that the 38-year-old mother of one was jealous of Prince William and Middleton’s position compared to that of hers and Prince Harry’s.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to inherit the King and Queen titles one day while Prince Harry has been demoted to being sixth in line to the British throne.

The Duchess of Sussex was also reportedly conscious that their cottage home was tiny, especially in comparison to Prince William and Middleton’s vast apartment at Kensington.

Things came to a head when Markle allegedly shouted at one of the Duchess of Cambridge’s staff members. That event supposedly began the discussions of the Sussexes leaving their post at the palace.

In Her Defense

Markle was once married to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson

Despite the criticisms thrown at the former ‘Suits’ actress, there were also those who were more understanding of her behavior. One Kensington Palace insider said that she was just reacting to the treatment she got from the royal family being a mixed-race and divorced American woman marrying into the institution.

Apparently, some people looked down on Markle, which caused her to react emotionally at times.
