The rest of society may be at a standstill but beauty mogul Kylie Jenner won’t be halting her plans for a new plot of land she recently purchased. In fact, she’s making good progress on her project already as the 22-year-old has reportedly secured the help of a renowned architect to turn her vision to reality.
Hands-On Approach
Speaking with People, a source revealed that Jenner has gotten in touch with architect Richard Landry to design her new house that’s going to be built on the Hidden Hills plot, which Jenner bought for $15 million.
The mother-of-one is also reportedly taking her building project quite seriously as she was also involved in the unglamorous parts of the construction. This included diligently ensuring that the land is compacted enough to accommodate the house.
The same source commented on how good it was for the surrounding neighbors that Jenner took this precaution.
While not many people outside the architecture circle are familiar with Landry’s work, a long list of celebrities have hired his services. The architect’s former clients include football star Tom Brady, comedian Eddie Murphy, and singer-songwriter Rod Stewart.
Back-To-Back Purchases
Looking back at Jenner’s past purchases, it looks like the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star is on a real estate roll. Just weeks before buying the Hidden Hills land plot, she splurged $36.5 million on a mansion in Los Angeles’ Holmby Hills neighborhood.
The mansion reportedly has seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. It also features 20 parking spaces on its .83-acre expanse.
Sources also note how Jenner got a huge discount on the residence as it was going for the much higher price tag of $45.95 million. She seems to have gotten a really good deal given the fact that the home is fairly new being completed in August 2019.
Interesting Past
Going back to the topic of Jenner’s new land plot, it’s worth noting that the property has seen its fair share of construction and renovation. The land reportedly housed former Disney star Miley Cyrus’ ranch house from 2015 until 2018.
The 27-year-old ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer’s home was torn down by the next owner, who had plans of building an extravagant residence in its place. Unfortunately, none of these plans materialized leaving the piece of land vacant until Jenner acquired it.
